Pedigree profile of Albi Daiquiri

Drossan (Imp Hann) x Truly Nureyev xx x Persian Wonder xx

This beautiful, elegant bay mare was bred and owned by very special friends of mine.  Knowing that she was a precious princess and sensitive soul, when her competitive career had to end due to an injury, she was offered to me to use as a broodmare.  Knowing her dam, the premium thoroughbred mare ‘one of these days’, who is the true definition of an English thoroughbred, I was delighted to welcome her into the broodmare band.

Daquiri is by the imported Hannoverian stallion Drossan.

His sire, Drosselklang II was Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in Germany in 2001. Don Carlos was one of the best known jumping sires in Hannover, with progeny such as Dynamo & Don Juan. The Don Carlos group is remarkable for modern type conformation with very old Hanoverian bloodlines with very little thoroughbred blood. His dam, Waldivia, by Wettstreit has to date produced progeny that have all jumped Open classes.

Drossan's full brother, Delany, jumped at International level with Jerry Smit. Other Drosseklang II progeny include Skyboy (Rodrigo Pessoa), Donnerlitchen (Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Dobel's Frechdachs (Otto Becker) and Doringcord (Ian Millar).

Drossan has jumped to 1.30m. His progeny are very exciting. They are modern, brave and have good temperaments with tremendous scope.

Daquiri’s dam is one of the few premium thoroughbred mares the SAWHS has on its books.  Her pedigree include valuable sires such as ‘Noble Chieftain’, and ‘Persian Wonder’

A mare like this is an open canvass for an artist… anything is possible.  She also missed premium status with the SAWHS by one percent.

Welcome

Standing beside the mare in stocks while the vet is scanning, willing and hoping to see that highly-respected black dot on the screen is when it all starts.
