Rivendell's Ringmaster (Imp Hann)

Pedigree profile of Rivendell's Ringmaster (Imp Hann)

D.O.B 14/04/2014 - Rotspon x Lauries Crusador xx x Grand Ferdinand II

Ringmaster is a striking and imposing dark bay, imported Hannoverian colt.  He is by the stallion Rotspon out of a mare by Lauries Crusador xx.

Rotspon is another top quality son of the dressage stallion Rubinstein I. He was the sovereign winner of the stallion performance test in 1998, scoring an excellent 148.82 points in the dressage category.

Like his father, Rotspon is a very impressive horse with a great rideability, outstanding movements and a high ability for dressage. He also has a good jumping technique which is highly above average. He is an elegantly made sire in a noble black coat with a lot of expression and appearance.

The first offspring of Rotspon were born in the year 2000. The foals have beautiful heads and a good conformation (long sloping shoulder, long well set up neck). They are equipped with a very elastic trot and a ground covering walk, and have been very much in demand.

At the prestigious Ratje Niebuhr-Show of 2002, Rotspon was the second most successful sire represented, with only his first crop. Both the two and three year old classes were won by his daughters, with the two year old becoming the youngest champion in the show's history.

Rotspon has begun creating his own branch of the Rubinstein I dynasty with many approved sons and daughters, as well as high-priced auction horses and stellar performance horses. In 2005, Rotspon received a Breeding Value Index of 155 points, with an assurance of 97% heritability, from the German Equestrian Federation.

Ringmaster’s dam is by Lauries Crusador xx, a thoroughbred stallion who became the 2006 Hanoverian Dressage Stallion of the Year.

Lauries Crusado xx was born in England in 1985 and began his career on the track. He achieved a handicap of 90.5 kilograms (200 lb) which opened the doors for him to warmblood breeding in Germany.

The late renowned stallion owner, Maas J. Hell, discovered the bay, and thanks to his good relationship with the Hanoverian State Stud director at the time, Dr. Burchard Bade, Lauries Crusador xx was brought to the Niedersaechsische Landgestuet in 1991 where he became the first non-Hanoverian sire in the Hanoverian breeding program.

Almost no other Thoroughbred has influenced German warmblood breeding as this English sire has. For the Hanoverian Society, 2406 offspring have been registered, 248 daughters have been honored as States Premium Mares, and 55 sons have been licensed. In Celle, some of his best sons are at home; above all, Londonderry with his sons, Londontime, Lauscher, Liberty Gold and Lorenzio.

In sport, Lauries Crusador xx stands for pure performance.

Le Bo, ridden by Carola Koppelmann, was 3rd in the 2005 German National Championships. The former Hanoverian Elite auction horse, Lesotho, was a member of the Olympic gold medal team in Athens under Ellen Schulten-Baumer. Louis Heslegard, ridden by Gerda Lehmann, was on the Danish Olympic team, and at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Le Primeur, competed for Switzerland under Marie-Line Wettstein.

Welcome

Standing beside the mare in stocks while the vet is scanning, willing and hoping to see that highly-respected black dot on the screen is when it all starts.
